There is a BYD showroom newly open near my house. So I got interested to try the acclaimed BYD Seal Performance that claims 0-100 in 3.8s š
Ironically the showroom was soo new that when I visited the first time, the Seal Performance test car only arrived on that day itself and was driven till the battery is nearly dead by the time it reached my turn. And the stupid salesman that served me said it did not matter. Had a terrible first experience due to the power saving mode that kicked in due to low battery~
Went back a few weeks later to test drive again because I was so unsatisfied with the performance the first time around.
Needless to say... it is fast!
Fast to the point of... I highly discourage letting the general public test drive without prior experience in driving at speed. It can be a wild horse if you do not know how to control it and I am very surprised how I have not heard of any accidents involving the BYD Seal Performance yet given how fast it can be.
Simply put to perspective, this car can rival a lot of those supercars like the Porsche (in terms of the acceleration). The only extreme turn-off to this BYD Seal Performance is the maximum capped speed limit of only 180km/h š a very big Achilles heel so to speak šāāļø
But hey... just RM200k for the experience of having a 'supercar' that is worth easily 4-10x the price? its a game changer in my books.
